“Having worked in the Education sector previously, I have first hand knowledge that there can be a lack of communication between parents, teachers and their administrators. Parents have only what we are presented with, often times bits of a puzzle that we must piece together based on what our child brings home in their backpack. Traditionally a PTO has been seen as a third party resource for additional funding but it could be so much more. A PTO is the bridge between parent and teacher, acting as an ombudsman, working together to provide the best experience and education for their students. Our mission is to make a positive impact in the lives of our children. We can't always do this alone. That is why we need a PTO. " - Abby Bryant, Parent
"Turner works hard to ensure the success of its students and the parents of the Turner community work hard to ensure the success of their students. When those two forces collaborate and work together, the possibilities are endless. For years, our PTO at Turner has been a huge part of our success and it has provided resources for our school that we may not have had access to without the help of the PTO. " - Logan Young, teacher
"We need PTO so parents, teachers, and administrators can work together to address important issues. PTO allows parents an opportunity to meet other parents and teachers, share ideas and concerns, stay connected, and know what’s happening in their child/children’s school." - Stephenie Hood, parent
