Anderson County families,

Principal Wayne Reese lost his battle with cancer Thursday December 7th. Mr. Reese was loved by many and we will miss him dearly. 

A celebration of Wayne Reese’s life is scheduled for Wednesday December the 13th at Robert B. Turner Elementary School. Visitation will be from 1:30-4:30. The funeral will follow at 4:30.

We know many will want to pay respects and attend the funeral. School will be closed Wednesday to allow students and staff to attend.

Please keep the Reese family and students and staff of Robert B. Turner in your thoughts and prayers during this sad time.

Dear Anderson County Families,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you about the death of Robert B. Turner Principal Wayne Reese. Mr. Reese had been diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2016.  He died on the evening of December 7, 2017.  Parents of the students at Robert B. Turner have been notified.  The Anderson County District Crisis Team has been in the building today and will continue to be available to support our students and staff.  Our goal is to assist our school, RBT family, in understanding grief and to provide some helpful suggestions for coping.

    Anderson County Band 2017 Class 4A State Champions
    Congratulations to the ACHS Marching Bearcats for winning the2017 Class 4A State Championship. ACSchools is extremely proud of all the band members, coaches, and parents that contributed.

    The Saving Our Students (S.O.S.) Youth Coalition of Anderson County was recognized as the 2017 KY Youth Empowerment System (Y.E.S.) Outstanding Achievement Award recipient by the KY Cabinet for Health and Family Services Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities and the Bluegrass Prevention Center.
