News Release
Student safety is our number one priority, thus we wanted to make you aware of a situation that took place today in surrounding counties. Despite there being no connection between this incident and Anderson County Schools, district administration has been working closely with local law enforcement regarding this matter. Fortunately, the suspect in question has been apprehended. 
Bearcat Day Feedback
Thank you for you input on ACSchools Bearcat Day program. Based on your feedback, the Board has decided to move forward with an application for the Bearcat Day program to be part of the Non-Tradional Instruction (NTI) day program endorsed by the state department of education. 
Feeding All Kids Free – 2016 Summer Food Service Program
The Anderson County Board of Education is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability. 
ACMS Athletic Participation Policy Stakeholder Survey
The ACMS SBDM Council was questioned about having 5th grade students participate in ACMS athletics. A committee was created to research and discuss the current policy which permits 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students enrolled at ACMS to participate in ACMS athletics. The committee is seeking input from all stakeholders to make an informed decision on a recommendation to the ACMS SBDM Council to keep the current policy or alter the current policy. 
RBT Staff featured in Kentucky Teacher
South Heights Elementary School (Henderson County) and Robert B. Turner Elementary School (Anderson County) were chosen as 2016 Model Schools by the International Center for Leadership in Education.

    Information Regarding Cancellation, Delays, and Early Dismissal
    Winter weather conditions sometimes prompt Anderson County Schools to alter routines or schedules in the district. All schedule changes due to inclement weather are posted on ACSchools.net as well as shared via Facebook , Twitter, and through the local media. 
    Anderson County school board saluted this month
    Throughout this month of January, administrators, faculty, staff, students and community members of the Anderson County school district are publicly thanking the system’s elected board of education members during Kentucky’s observation of School Board Recognition Month.
