EKU Admissions for Free and Other Information
If you have not applied, EKU is waiving their application fee for all Fall 2020 applications. Please visit,
As of now, all scheduled events beginning in May are still taking place, including orientation. This is subject to change. Please visit  for updates.
EKU will also begin a new virtual admissions services program. This includes virtual live chats through Blackboard, virtual meetings with students and parents via phone or Zoom and virtual campus visits. You can get more information and scheduled appointments by visiting
Due to the cancellation of SAT and ACT testing dates, EKU is allowing students who do not have test scores to be admitted only using their transcripts. These students may have to take a placement test over the summer. 
NTI Instructional Schedule
After Spring Break, ACHS will be adjusting the instructional schedule to better meet the needs of students and teachers while covering new content. The curriculum focus will be essential skills/power standards from where the teacher left off on Friday, March 13. Click on the heading above for more information. 
Yearbook Order Form
Yearbook order forms are available on the ACHS website [click the link below]. Orders will be taken through May 15, 2020. You can order or drop/mail payment along with the order form to the high school. If you have questions, please contact Marla Seraji at . Yearbook order 
Take Home Clay Kits for Ceramics Classes
Broadway Clay located in downtown Frankfort is offering take home clay kits.The kits range in price and vary by project.If you would like to purchase a kit they are available online. Once purchased they can be picked up outside of the store on a rack or delivered to your vehicle. Any student currently enrolled in Mr. Wilder's ceramic classes will receive a full weeks grade for NTI. For more info contact

Scholarship Due Date
Scholarships applications will be due March 30, 2020. You may turn in applications in the East Wing office 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  
School Office Hours and Assignment Drop-off/Pick-up
School office hours will be from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday in the East Wing office. Students/parents without internet access may drop-off or pick-up hard copy assignments from the vestibule to avoid contact in the actual office area. Student names will be placed on the assignment packet[s]. Please make sure to contact your teachers prior to picking up your assignments, so they can notify the office secretaries to gather it up for you.  
School Cancellations Extended

At the recommendation of the Governor, ACSchools will be extending the current school closing through Friday, April 17, 2020. The week of April 6 through April 10 will still be spring break. All other days will be NTI days. Teachers and staff will continue to be available for students from 8am to 3pm daily. If students or parents have questions or need assistance, please call your child’s school or email your child’s teacher. We are here to serve and want to make this new experience a positive one for everyone.

Note: Food service will continue to have pick-up and delivery during Spring Break.

First Tech Challenge KY

Update to ACHS Graduation
The ACHS graduation will be held at Alltech Arena on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. Those needing interpreter accomodations, please call or email Dustin Fore at 502.839.5118 or A seating diagram of the arena is provided in the header of this announcment. Guests can use this to determine where they want to sit. Seats will be first come first served and there will be no limit on the number of guests. Parking will be free of charge to all guests. 
Students will be required to ride a district provided bus to graduation. This is to ensure everyone gets to the event at the same time in order to prepare, line-up and get the ceremony started on time. Students do not have to ride a bus back to ACHS after the ceremony, but if requested, we will provide a bus to transport students back to the school. Students will be required to arrive in front of the main building at 9:45 a.m. to board the buses. Buses will depart for Alltech Arena at 10:00 a.m. and arrive at Alltech Arena at approximately 10:45 a.m.
If your student has not purchased a cap and gown, they need to do so ASAP. Caps and gowns for this year's ceremony will have a different design, so everyone must purchase a new one or they will not be able to walk at the ceremony. The National Honor Society and Beta Clubs are collecting personal items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant for the flood victims in Southeastern Kentucky. 

The 1st period class who collects the most items will receive a doughnut party. We will begin collecting on Wednesday, February 12th through Wednesday, February 26th.
